Accessibility Statement
Accessibility of this website: the measures taken, known gaps and how to contact us.
Last updated: 27 October 2026
newstfy wants newstfy.com to be usable by as many people as possible, including visitors who rely on assistive technology. This statement describes the measures taken, the limitations we are aware of and how to reach us.
1. Our approach
At newstfy, accessible pages are part of everyday maintenance rather than an extra. Each new page and each change of design is checked so that text stays readable, the menu can be used without a mouse and no information depends on a single visual cue. The statement applies to newstfy.com only.
2. Feedback
Please report any accessibility problem you encounter by email to [email protected] or by telephone on 01243 786421. A short description of the page, of the difficulty and of the device or assistive technology involved allows us to reproduce the fault. We normally answer within five working days and explain what we intend to do about it.
3. Known limitations
Some pictures are general illustrations with a short alternative text rather than a full description.
4. What we do
Pages use semantic HTML: headings follow one order, lists are marked up as lists, and link texts stay meaningful out of context. Navigation and main content form separate regions, and the language of each page is declared for screen readers. Images that carry information have alternative texts, decorative ones are marked as such.
Body text, links and buttons reach a contrast ratio of at least 4.5 to 1. Because sizes are relative, zooming in or increasing the font size in the browser does not break the layout, and every part of the site can be operated with a keyboard.
5. Standards
Our goal is conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. We describe the site as partially conformant, because a few elements still fall short of individual criteria; pages are reviewed regularly and problems are fixed as they are found.
6. Preparation of this statement
The present statement was prepared on 27 October 2026 on the basis of our own internal assessment. We inspected the principal page types with a keyboard, at an increased zoom setting and with a screen reader; no external audit was commissioned. The statement is reviewed once a year and after any substantial change to the website.
