FAQ
Plain answers on how we work, what we need from you and how enquiries, quotations and payment are handled.
Frequently asked questions
These are the questions producers and event organisers ask us most often before a project begins. If yours is missing, ask us through the contact page.
How do I start a project with newstfy?
Send an enquiry through the contact page describing your venue, show and dates. We will reply with questions, then prepare a written quotation. Nothing begins until you have read the quotation and confirmed in writing that you want to go ahead.
Do you only work in Chichester?
We are based in Chichester, but projects take us to studios and venues elsewhere. Where a site visit is not practical, we can work from drawings, photographs and a call with your technical lead. Travel is discussed in the quotation.
Can I book a single service rather than a full package?
Yes. Studio design, camera control, lighting, sound, event production and workflow planning can each be booked on their own or combined. We will tell you honestly if one service depends on another being settled first.
What should I prepare before we speak?
Room dimensions, any existing drawings or photographs, the number of crew, and a short description of the shows or events are enough. Rough notes are fine. We would rather start early with incomplete information than wait for a perfect brief.
How are prices set?
Prices depend on scope, the size of the venue, crew numbers and time on site. Our prices page explains what each service costs, what is included and what could change it. Your written quotation sets out the exact figure.
How do I pay?
Once you have confirmed the quotation in writing, we send an invoice, which is paid by bank transfer. Nothing is paid through the website. Cancellations and refunds follow our payment and refund policy.
Will my crew be able to run the system without you?
That is the aim. We write run sheets, signal flow diagrams and handover notes, and where the quotation includes it, we train your operators on the equipment so they can work confidently on their own.
Do you provide the equipment as well?
Our work is design, configuration, planning and crewing. Where equipment is needed, we specify it and can advise on suppliers. What is included in any project is always stated in the written quotation.
